Tang Ting | 汤庭
A Shanghai‑based photographer celebrated for his natural approach to capturing movement, storytelling, and intimate portraiture. Known for revealing the essence of his subjects—whether in commercial campaigns, editorial features, or personal projects documenting China’s creative youth culture.

He has collaborated with global brands such as Nike, Adidas, Apple, Converse, Vans, and Bose, and his photography has been featured in leading publications—including Vice, Centrefold, Noisey, Monocle, and Numéro. His personal series Slow Dreams earned a Special Mention at the Becas Roberto Villagraz Award in 2013, and in 2016 he documented the China National Team’s training for the Rio Olympics for Nike. In 2021, he published Tropical Polyester, a photography book exploring Thailand’s football jersey culture—blending sports, fashion and street identity into a visually compelling narrative.

Accepting commissions across China and Southeast Asia, with a growing emphasis on editorial fashion & culture assignments for print and digital media. Whether it’s a branded campaign or culturally‑driven photo story, Tang brings a distinctive balance of texture, color, emotion—and locale‑specific insight.

Tang’s imagery—spanning fashion editorials, raw music‑scene snapshots and quiet landscapes—is characterised by striking textures, rich color palettes, and a balance between stillness and emotion. His work resonates with an honest, intimate perspective on modern youth culture—infused with humor, introspection, and mood.
